What should we pay attention to when buying a second hand vehicle?

The interest in the used car market is quite high. After the SCT hike in vehicle prices before the New Year, citizens started to prefer second hand cars. Despite everything, while the mobility in the automobile market continues, citizens should pay attention when buying second-hand. When you buy a new car, you do not have a problem because you are the first driver, but you need to be careful when buying a second hand car. From time to time, false statements are given in the advertisements of cars for sale by their owners or cars sold by car dealerships. Those who want to buy a vehicle, if they are not careful, have problems with the second hand cars they buy. So, what should be considered when buying a used car?

First of all, the reason for buying a second hand car is that it is more economical than new cars. However, the cars bought by being deceived by false statements can cause you to pay almost zero car money with the expenses it causes, and it can also cause the money you pay to go to waste. Therefore, it is very important to examine carefully when purchasing a vehicle. If possible, it would be in your best interest to go to buy with someone who understands cars, or even auto mechanics. Also, be sure to try the tool and see if it meets your expectations.

When buying a used car, check the exterior of the vehicle for scratches, rust or paint. Inspect for repairs and be sure to ask the seller what you have in mind. Shake the vehicle from all four sides to see if the vehicle's suspensions are firm. If the suspensions are solid, the car will rock once and stop. If it doesn't stop, it may indicate a problem with their suspension. Again, if the vehicle is not standing straight where it stopped, this image also shows that there is a problem with the suspension. Check locks, windows, door handles.

Again, control the steering wheel for your safety. If the wheels react immediately when you turn the steering wheel, it's fine. However, if you do not get an immediate response, it shows that the vehicle has a problem in this sense.

Be sure to open the hood and look at the wiring, oil residues, oil level, engine belts and engine water level. Don't forget to check the vehicle tires as well. The tires on an axle must be the same, keep this in mind. Also check the tire pressure. Do not forget to check the wear of the gas and brake pedals.

Before purchasing the vehicle, check for traction problems while taking a test drive. Again, make sure that the engine starts easily and does not make strange noises. Again, do this check for all sounds coming out of the vehicle. Unusual sounds indicate a problem. When you start the vehicle, the color of the exhaust fumes should not be black or similar colors. It is normal for it to be gray and colorless. Make sure that when you depress the vehicle's brake pedal, it does not descend more than 4 cm. Make sure the handbrake is working properly. When turning with the vehicle, check if there is noise from the axles.

Again, while driving on a straight road, let go of the vehicle's steering wheel and check if the steering wheel moves. If it is moving, it means that there is a problem with the wheel alignment. Again, if the steering wheel or the car vibrates too much when you accelerate on a flat road, there is a problem with the balance settings. If you have difficulty controlling the steering wheel, have the tire pressure and front wheels checked. If there is no problem with the tire air, it means there is a problem with the front wheels. Finally, get to a quiet place and apply your handbrake. Shift into gear and slowly take your foot off the clutch. Under normal circumstances, your car should stop. If it doesn't, there is a problem with the clutch.

Details like these are things you should definitely do when buying a used car, and are a way to make sure your money isn't wasted.
